Project description: Located within Islington’s Conservation Area, this project involves the comprehensive redesign of a period townhouse, including the excavation and lowering of the existing vaults to unlock new usable space. The proposal received full planning approval, balancing sensitive interventions with respect for the building’s historic fabric. The project was undertaken as a co-design experiment with the Client.
